A Summary of Chapter 2 (The Mail from London to Dover) 

It was about the journey of 5 people taking the mail to Dover. Dover was located in the United Kingdom. It was about 125 kilometers from London. They traveled to Dover by the horse carriage. At that time the means of transportation was mainly the horse carriage. There were three passengers in the carriage, one coachman, Mr. Tom and a mail guard, Mr. Joe. On their way from London to Dover, they met a horseman, Mr.Jerry, who had a message for one of the passengers, Mr. Lorry. Mr. Lorry asked permission from the mail guard to read the message. The mail guard agreed with Mr. Lorry. The he started to read the message. In the message, it asked Mr. Lorry to wait at Dover.  He  then replied to Mr. Jerry and Mr. Lorry’s reply to Jerry was “Returned to Life”. Jerry thought it was a strange reply and he felt really doubtful and perplexed. And he went back to London. On his way back to London, Jerry was still thinking about Mr. Lorry's answer. He could not work out the meaning of the reply. Joe and Tom and the passengers continued their journey to Dover. The way to Dover was really difficult as it was covered by the thick mist. They felt really scared as they always thought that there would be highwaymen coming to fight and robe them. They eventually arrived Dover safe and sound.
