Chapter 5: The Village School (Summary)
After Tony thought about where to put the piano at night, he then decided to keep the piano in a classroom of a small
school which was near the farm of Mr. Wood. It was at the side of road near Mr. Wood’s biggest field. Tony borrowed the Lorry from Mrs. Wood to take the piano to the school. Linda, Pip and John helped Tony to bring the piano to the school. Every
evening he cycled to the school and played the piano. He felt very happy to play the piano. Then Tony learnt to read
music. Linda bought him a book of easy songs for Mr. Tony. At home Linda taught him to read the
words at top of the page. Linda did like to help Mr. Tony. She never felt tired of helping him. Linda was one year younger than Tony. She was an old daughter of Mr. Wood. Mr. Wood loved her very much. Tony and Linda enjoyed learning to read the music words very much. Tony thanked Linda for her kindness.
