Chapter 7: The Music Competition (Summary)
Tony every evening cycled to his piano lesson with Mr.
Gordon at 4 o'clock. He practised the music lesson until 7 o'clock. He enjoy the lesson every minute. He never missed
the lessons at all. Every night when he slept, his mind was still full of music. He learnt
very fast and Mr. Gordon said he needed a real teacher. In spring there was a
music completion in London and Gordon asked Tony to join the competition. Tony first felt reluctant to join but later decide to join. Mr. Gordon made Tony practise
the lessons for four hours everyday to be ready for the music competition. Mr. Wood and Mrs. Wood, Linda, Pip and John went to see Tony's performance. Mrs. Wood bought a pair of new shoes from the father's shoes shop of Pip and John. Tony did really liked them so much and he thanked Mrs. Wood for always helping him so far. Before the competition Tony felt really nervous but when he got to the stage, he could manage to make himself confident. He could play well during the competition. Finally Tony
won the competition. His name was published in the newspaper. He felt so excited to be the winner.
